Christmas Owl!!

Sorry it has been so long since my last post! I'm sure its the same for everyone with Christmas to prepare for! I had a fairly festive and creative Sunday and managed to make an owl cushion for my sister! What do you think?
It was so easy to do and I think it looks just as good as the shop bought ones (and much cheaper). All I did was cut out a template of an owl (you could do any shape you wanted!) and then cut out the pieces of fabric and hand-stitched the smaller details on the front. I then used the sewing machine to do the rest and added stuffing!! Perfect and a great Christmas pressie idea. My mum made smaller versions in the shape of birds and hearts and they are now on our Christmas tree!! Very creative for a rainy sunday afternoon.

Sweet Dreams...

So, I have been diagnosed with Laryngitis and while I spend my time drinking lots of tea and wrapping up warm watching TV, it has obviously affected me that I haven't been able to shop for a very long time - (at least 4days!!!) Last night I had the greatest dream that I went on a massive shopping spree and luckily I could remember exactly what I snapped up- here are a few... I hope it comes true this weekend!

Hooray for Ebay!!

As it is getting closer to Christmas and those parties are coming up, I thought I would have a look on ebay to see if there were any shiny new dresses that I could buy. Ebay is great for getting designer and individual clothes for a fraction of the price! I had a gold sequin dress in mind but hadn't seen any in the shops that I liked. So Ebay came to the rescue and I came across an amazing gold sequin dress with beaded strap detail from Zara- and it was only on at £5.00!!! I couldn't believe my luck so, of course bidded straight away. As the closing time got nearer I had been outbid but I had decided to set myself a budget of £20- for a zara sequin dress I thought this was a bargain! So, as it counted down I waited until it had 1 minute 30 seconds left and upped my bid to £20!! It was a tense minute and half but as it counted down... I won!!!!! At only £16 I think this dress is a bargain- and its given me the push I need to sell some of my own dresses- Half of them I've either never worn or only worn once!!! So- check out www.ebay.co.uk for all your christmas presents and party needs and grab yourself a bargain!!!
(I have to apologize for the bad quality picture- my camera has broken so I have resorted to Blackberry!)

Vivienne Westwood

Another quick post today as I'm sat by the fire trying to keep warm! It was pretty cold at work today so I didn't venture out of the office- perfect for a bit of online shopping and getting ideas for my Christmas list. This post is dedicated purely to Vivienne Westwood!! I absolutely love her style and have found lots of things I want for Christmas on the website... Instead of me writing about them I'll let the products do the talking!

Ed's up!

Just a quick post today to give a heads up to Ed Sheeran's album '+'
It's such a good album, so chilled out and I love listening to it on the way to and from work :) I'm going to see him at Brixton Academy on the 20th January with my sis so that's going to be great- can't wait to hear him live, I hear he's amazing!!
My favourite tracks so far are Grade 8, Wake Me Up and Small Bump (and of course his released singes A Team and You Need Me, I don't Need You.) They all tell a story about his life and things that have happened to him.

His mum also does some amazing jewellery- really unique stuff seen on celebs like Jameela Jamil! Check it out on Ed Sheeran's website www.edsheeran.com

Tanoholic...

Well, I have found the most amazing fake tan ever and I have to tell you all about it!!! Now, I'm a big fan of tan, in fact I don't go a day without wearing it these days. I would say Im a tanorexic but I don't take the term lightly so I'll let you make your own minds up.
I have very pale skin naturally so I think after all these years I have actually managed to stain my skin if that is even possible. I have tried St Tropez, Rimmel, California Tan, Ambre Solaire, Naturasun Tan, Fake Bake, all shops/supermarkets own brands and tinted moisturisers. I am a Rimmel Shimmer/Matte user at heart, always have, always will! It's perfect for nights out and if it goes wrong, you just wash it off and start again. But I have since found the best, natural tan I have ever used...and its only 99p!!!!

Yep, that's right- Expose is only 99p and can be found in the 99p store! This Fake tan is the best value for money- and for those of you who aren't used to tanning or want too much of a noticeable colour it is perfect. It is a mousse so very easy to apply and with each layer the colour gradually builds up, so you can make it as dark as you want. I found it much better than sprays I had used before as it was much easier to see if you missed a bit or not. I did have to use a tanning mit as I don't want to think what the consequences would have been if I hadn't so I would have to recommend that!
The only down side is the smell... it's got a very strange scent, nothing like any fake tan I have used before but with a shower it comes off- totally worth it in my mind! Give it a go and let me know what you think...

Dress to Impress

I had a few nights out this weekend, my friend was down from London and then it was my cousins 21st birthday so I knew I had to get something to wear for each night and dress to impress! I had been so disappointed with Boohoo- after my excitement in my previous post I have completely changed my mind. I ordered a few items from them, to be sent an email a week later saying my items were out of stock and I had been refunded. No mention before to see if I wanted to change my order in anyway, or even any mention when I ordered it in the first place! I emailed them many times to see if I could change my order at all but I am yet to have a response....so Boohoo have now gone on my black list! such a shame after the amazing things they had on there!!

So I had to think of a back up and quick- they had only left me with 3 days to get something! Thankfully www.missguided.co.uk came to the rescue! They had such lovely clothes and the most amazing dress I found that would be perfect for both work and nights out- and only £30- bargain! What do you guys think...

I love the colour of it, perfect for autumn/winter and I think it can definitely be worked in summer with some flowery/brighter accessories. So I feel this dress is an investment! And so flattering if you are having a fat day- covers up all the right places!
I also had a browse on the Miss Selfridge website in the sale- I found some lovely playsuits at only £17 and £18 each!! Such a bargain I couldn't say no. I ordered two, one floral number and another aztec print playsuit. Unfortunately the aztec playsuit was a little big so I'll be sending that one back. But what do you think to my floral playsuit...

Its such a pretty design and the cut out back is something a little different. I admit it is a bit summery- but with the lovely weather we just had it seemed a shame not to embrace it!!

The Big Mac

Sorry I have neglected this lately! I feel like I've been very busy lately and most importantly I was waiting for my amazing new macbook pro!!!! It is finally here and it is everything it is cracked up to be. So smart, looks amazing and has the best apps!! I can't wait to actually spend time looking through exactly what it can do!! I'm also in the process of downloading Skype so that I can chat away to my friends all over the place as a lot of them will be off travelling soon, so what a great way to stay in touch! I can also chat to my boyfriend while he's at uni- perfect!! I'll let you know exactly what great things it can do but right now I've got some serious catching up to do...look out for my next post any minute!

Monday buys...

So, Its Monday evening- very depressing after my last post was Thursday night! I had a lovely weekend in Bournemouth although I was ill for half of it so I had to make the most of what I could. My boyfriend and I went to an amazing place called Aruba. They do the most amazing food and cocktails!! If you are ever in Bournemouth you have to check it out!
So, as it was a depressing Monday morning I had to go into town on my lunch break and make a quick stop off at Primark. I think I controlled myself and only bought 2 cardigans and a tshirt!! I think that's pretty good going! I got a mustard cardigan and a wine coloured cardigan. They will both be great for work and for play :) They also had some amazing colour block heels that I was very tempted to get but I have made a pact with myself to not buy any shoes this month!!! I need to stay off the shoes for a little while!
They did some amazing chunky knits in there too, £12 for a chunky knit cardi and £10 for a chunky knit jumper!! They looked soooo cosy but I'm planning on getting my mum to knit me one as shes taken up the hobby!! She's so good at it but I just can't get to grips with so I think I'll leave that to mum! She made this cute jumper for my nephew...

...its a shame she used the wrong sized needles and is now for his teddy rather than him!!!

Get ready for the weekend...

It's Friday tomorrow so I'm in a very good mood!! I've had a busy week at work and I get to see my boyfriend in Bournemouth at the weekend so I couldn't be happier!!
GARNIER AMBRE SOLAIRE NO-STREAKS BRONZER DRY BODY MISTIt was also payday this week so I bought the amazing red playsuit  and the black and white playsuit from Boohoo in my last post!!! Hopefully they will arrive soon and I can see if they are as amazing as they look on the web!
I also tried a new fake tan this week...Garnier Ambre Solaire- no streaks bronzer dry body mist. I got it in colour medium as I prefer a darker more noticable tan. I actually really liked the product, It has a really natural colour to it but I did miss a few spots as it is a clear spray so it is hard to see where you have missed or where you may have put too much on!! I have tried to even it out tonight so I will let you know how it turns out!!
I've also done my nails and had my eyelash extensions done- I have to be looking great for the weekend!!
I tried the Barry M Instant Nail Effects nail varnish in black over the top of a Barry M Mushroom colour nail varnish! I think it looks great, almost like an animal print- let me know what you think?....

Barry M Instant Nail Effects - Crackle Black Magic         Barry M Nail Paints Mushroom

I also had my eyelashes done- I do it every month! I can't live without them now! It's so addictive having such long thick lashes that when they start to disappear I can't help but get them done again. And at £15 a time I think its worth every penny!! I go to a woman who works from home, it's definitely worth checking out in your local area as salon prices can be so expensive!!! And I haven't bought a new mascara for months so I think it's totally worth it, what do you recon??

Lunchtime treats

I'm just on my lunchbreak at work so this will be a short post! I always browse the internet when I can to check out the latest trends I want to get with my next pay packet and I have found my next buy...

I saw this on an advert and knew it was a must have!! And its only £20!!! I love it in the red so I think I'll be brave and go for it! I absolutely love it in the black so who knows, if the red is as good as it looks on the web I may have to invest in that too! This is from http://www.boohoo.co.uk/ . I am loving this website at the moment, although some stuff is a bit naff and can look quite cheap, a lot of their stuff is amazing and looks much more expensive for a fraction of the price!! Check out these amazing items that will be following this playsuit soon...
