Caviar Nails

I'm forever changing my nail varnish, if i dont have any colour on my nails I feel naked! I think I have tried and tested every colour/pattern and nail art foil stickers in the past so when the new 'caviar' nails came out i couldnt resist. Now the Ciate cavier nail polish is the must have for this trend but at £18 a pot i thought this was a little extravagant so i was delighted when i came across this accessorize version for just £4!! For this you got a lovely pink base colour and you could choose from 2 coloured beads, Lilac Sorbet (pinks and purples) or Stardom (blues and silvers). I went for the lilac sorbet because it sounded so cute and i prefer pinky colours on my nails over blue! I must say the instructions looked pretty straight forward, apply 2 layers of the base coat and before the 2nd layer has time to dry pour over the small 'caviar' beads. With only an hour before my boyfriend got home from work and heading out for dinner for the night i thought it would be perfect timing to get my nails done.
It all went well and was so easy to apply! i had a little pot underneath the beads so that when they overflowed i could then pour them back into the pot to use again. However, I would say that they don't mention a top coat in the instructions but i did put a clear nail varnish over the top as it didnt feel right leaving them as they were. I would definitely recommend doing this to give them an extra bit of staying power!
The nails looked great, although i did feel a bit like a fab ice lolly! However, within 24hours half of the beads had fallen off and they started to look very shabby very quickly! The beads had come off leaving half the pink undercoat on my nails chipped off so I had to get the nail varnish remover out and get the remainder off straight away!
All in all, a great look for an evening, but don't expect them to last any longer than that!!
